Hey, I’m Josh, and welcome to Gen Z Finance
I started this blog with one goal: to cut through the BS of personal finance and make it simple, accessible, and—most importantly—doable for young adults in the UK. While juggling nearly full-time work, I somehow managed to get a degree in Business Management (Accounting) online (yes, it’s as painful as it sounds), which taught me a lot about balancing financial chaos with real life.
During my nearly three years working in finance roles, I realised my true passion isn’t just crunching numbers—it’s helping real people hit their financial goals and feel like they’ve got their lives together.
Why I Created Gen Z Finance
Let’s be real: managing money can feel like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded. Whether you’re a student trying to make your loan last more than a week, a new graduate figuring out how to adult, or a young professional wondering if you should really be investing in crypto, I’m here to simplify it all. My goal? To give you straightforward advice that actually works.
My Background (AKA Why You Should Listen to Me)
While working as an Accounts and Finance Assistant, I also earned my degree in Business Management (Accounting) online. That experience taught me a ton about managing money—both mine and everyone else’s. But what really clicked for me was that I didn’t want to just stare at spreadsheets all day. I wanted to help people understand how money can actually improve their lives, not just stress them out.
